This set was made for the moments we don’t always know how to speak into – the ones shaped by loss, rupture, and the long echo of pain. Inspired by the emotional depth found in the lyrics of bands like Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Hole, The Smashing Pumpkins and Linkin Park, these cards offer a way into the raw, tangled spaces that grief and trauma can leave behind.

While they don’t use exact lyrics, each card draws from the feeling behind the music – those moments of feeling small, forgotten, angry, numb, or profoundly alone. They name what can feel unnameable: the weight of memory, the confusion of blame, the urge to forget, and the silence that sometimes follows it all.

On the reverse side, you’ll find gentle prompts as a way to explore a feeling, or an invitation to name something else entirely. Because every person’s meaning matters more than any card.

These aren’t tools for fixing, but companions for witnessing. You might use them to support clients who struggle to find words for what’s inside. Or keep them close for yourself, as a quiet nod to your own emotional landscapes, and the empathy they’ve shaped.

As always, there’s no right way to use them. Let them sit nearby, let one be chosen, or offer one if it feels like it fits.
